The Amazing Taryn Manning by Tyler Shields
So I photographed Taryn Manning A little while ago for M.F. magazine and I have nothing but good things to say she was a super sweet girl and very smart we were down shooting in a horrible basement with no lights and she was all about it. Anyone who is down for that is ok in my book. she is a sweetheart. i had the pleasure of meeting her once before when she was at a fashion show i think it was here in new york. i believe the movie with britney spears is titled..”crossroads” lol..but close enough. again, this is another amazing photograph..you’re skills continue to amaze me.

i love this photo. the lighting is amazing. its all focused on her, and her facial expression is perfect. its completely amazing, and gives off the feeling of trashy, yet classy…i almost think of the character marla singer from FIGHTCLUB. Incredible Tyler! like always :]

i had to take a second look at it. and on top of the lighting,. the background really gives this photo a really cool feel. the wall and the door. the light is so harsh too. sometimes that can be bad, but in this photo, it really worked with you. great job.

hey, great use of light!… love the feel i get during the initial 2 seconds of looking at this photo.
Love the scenery and the hot purple jacket. that generally wouldnt work for most people.

Ok shes really annoying…has no one else noticed.
Didnt she do Gap adds like 4 years ago? They were really tacky and she had like a star next to her eye and everyone thought it was SO cool. But please go watch cross roads and come back and tell me shes a good actress.
But why waste time on silly things like that, at least shes attractive.

Wonderful, sort of mysterious….love the georgeous girl, the color of her coat against the marred, scratched, dark, rough backgroud. You wonder… what is this girl doing in a place like this? The lighting is great, she is the center and is totally unlike the place she is in. I love the contrast and of course the shadows. Colors are great. Not overdone.
A lot of your photos have a sadness about them. Love it.
