In other news California is on fire again!!! The Malibu Castle has burnt to the ground as well as 3000 other acres all around California crazy times Malibu is on fire and spreading fast so hopefully they get it all cooled off as I was writing this the news flashed on to say there are 10 wild fires all over the state I will keep you updated on the fires best I can and hopefully they don’t hit my house again…

the wind in southern california today was fucking nuts, i was playing golf and people were getting knocked over and roofs were flying off and luckily with the direction that the wind was blowing the balls i hit gained an extra distance of about 70 yards.

Tyler, I bought some chimes and asked a tall neighbor to put them up in my porch a few weeks ago. I love the sound but tonight, I am being tested because we are getting a lot of wind here in Dallas, and THE MUSIC WON’T STOP. Problem is, I don’t actually own a step ladder, so I have to listen no matter what because I can’t get them down!!!
Insomnia. I think I need to write a song about it. I fondly remember how easy it was for me to fall asleep and how I would actually sleep through the entire night with no problems whatsoever. As much as I love keeping in touch on these chat boards, I want my sleep back!
The only thing that seems to help lately is a cup of steaming hot chocolate made with milk. I wonder if it is psychological or if it really works.
Can anyone recommend any nice, relaxing songs? I’d like that.

my dad went to law school at berkeley, loved it. he wanted to be a history professor though, he went to law school to try to make more money, and hated it. I say do what you want, it’s your damn life and you can always change your mind.

eh, idk, life is too short, most people are done with school in their late twenties, if they pursue a masters or phd, that is; when they’re done, their youth is totally gone, then you’re 30 something and working and idk, that’s it. it’s totally awesome that people go back to school when they’re older, but it’s not the same, i kinda like how i did it though, i took that college time off in my early twenties and did fun things, youth things, and now i can finish school and do what i have to do.

yea, it doesn’t matter in the end, but education really does have a major effect on your perspective of life, and it’s always true that the more knowledge you have the better, and of course, that’s not to say that people who don’t go to school lack knowledge, there are something you can only learn in school and there are something you can only learn from real life.

Maybe im just ranting bc i go to a bullshit school, pretty much run by the mob…and sit in classrooms with people who got a 400 on their SATs and couldn’t get into any other school they applied to…and since they all are from here (vegas) they dont have to pay out of state tuition,,,,soo they pay 2k a year while i still pay 20k….and they are all getting better grades then me…and the majority of my classes teach us 1.)how to properly make a bed 2.)what type of glass goes with what drink 3)how to poorly run a hotel. and yada yada yada. bahh

Why am I still up? I am in pain. I work nights, so I tend to be up later than most people, anyway. But tonight, I’m in pain.
What do I do to battle insomnia? Throw the kitten outside! LOL Mostly, drink chamomile tea, read The Form, play endless games of Freecell, try to do things I find relaxing, talk on the phone to friends.
I saw the Virgin Suicides, in the cinema. That was a long time ago. I thought it was okay.
Midnight snack? Depends what’s around. I like savory stuff if I’m wanting to go to bed. No sweets. Keeps me awake.
I love “New Anything” week. Of course I’ll check out your pics. I always like them.
Movie of the Night: I tried to convince my friend to watch “Smokey & the Bandit”. She didn’t buy in. So, I made her watch “Sunset Boulevard” instead. I didn’t watch a movie tonight, but I did think about it.
What did I do tonight? Watched “Cold Case”, talked on the phone and played on the computer. Very, very dull. I occasionally like it that way.
How did I spend my weekend? Working Saturday night at the track; watching racing at the track Sunday. My handicapping was great; my wagering sucked. The eternal frustration… I should have just sold my tips. I would’ve made a lot of money!
Haven’t seen Factory Girl. I haven’t been to the movies in a long time. I don’t like going to the movies by myself and they won’t let me bring the dog!
No fires near me. But I remember driving from L.A. to Vegas a couple of years ago and the fires were VERY CLOSE to the freeway. It was SOOOO SCARY. I don’t want that experience again.
I’ve seen all of Andy Warhol’s movies. They’re pretty darn cool. If you like Andy Warhol, you should read “Scum Manifesto” by Valerie Solanas. She’s the woman who shot Andy Warhol. Lily Taylor played her in the movie. That’s a movie worth watching.
