The Fires in California
So the fires keep going and I got an email from a former roomate of mine today who is trapped down in the fire and he sent me a photo from what was all around his house and man I have to say this is shocking!!! Check out this photo and just imagine being in the middle of all of this I would love to hear any stories on the fire in your area and I hope everyone is well! I live in San Diego area and I got evacuated from my house yesterday. This is all new to me seeing as I just moved from Boston.

I’m at my dads office Qualcomm. They’re taking in evacuees familys and such. I should be able to go home either tomorrow or the day after hopefully.

all of my friends have been evacuated.. im kind of just waiting for my call. my ex’s house has been burned down in the “ranch” fire.. they say its almost contained. i can barely see the end of my street with all the smoke. sunday was so bad though the wind was as fast as to be catagorized as a hurricane

That picture is definitely awesome. But I’m super scared of the fires, because my aunts, uncles and grandma are all getting evacuated from their houses. Along with my step-dad and that whole side of the family.

i’m in escondido (san diego county) and in the only pocket of escondido that’s not evacuated. but literally, there is a fire 10 min. east of me and 15 mins. south. i just drove up and saw the one in fallbrook and it was craazy, so much smoke, so much.

i would have to ask my dad. i was 11, haha. i just remember how clean everything was and the wet grounds from the rain and how it smelled and i remember this resturant that was awesome, it was close to some kind of a dock, river? it was in seattle though, and i remember going on top of the space needle. haha i actually have a picture that i have kept in my wallet forever because it is on the top of the space needle of me and my mom, since i haven’t seen my mom in over .. 14.. or so years.

I live in San Diego, in North Park. Last I heard we were safe, I’m about 20 minutes east of where I am, and 30 minutes North. I’m scared. School is out so is work, I might need to go back to the desert.

well ts, the fire is on las flores which is the street my apartment is on. its about 2 miles up from my place but impossible to get back there cuz the roads are shut down. i was in malibu on monday while pepperdine aka my school was on fire. i have some pics i will send u

My family lost 2 houses in the Oakland Hills Firestorm of 1991, and one in 1970
I empathize with these people, all my family got out alive, 26 of our neighbors did not. When I flew out the next day, I had lunch with my family. The only thing left was them, it puts things in perspective. We lost a ton of treasures, photos and films. Posessions mean nothing. You can’t take it with you.

I live in Vegas with my roommate who’s from San Diego n she’s freaking out cuz her whole street n her family n friends just got evacuated cuz the fires too close. :/ So she’s going home today to go help her family pack up the house just in case.

My dad’s a fireman. He’s in santa clarita now. But he was in mexico on vacation thurs-sun and the minute he turned on his phone when they landed in LAX on sunday night, they called him in. He’s been working ever since.

My brother is a firemen from the high desert, and he is up in Lake Arrowhead fighting the fire. He’s been out since this weekend. People don’t realize how much comfort, safety, sleep, food, and energy firemen do without, so remember them guys!

i miss my san diego blue sky, the air sucks, i went to the mall earlier and everyone is wearing masks, its soooo scary. just about a month ago we had landslides, the next day we had 2 bid water mains break in two different parts of the county, and now these wild fires. i dont think im going to be staying in san diego after i marry.
