No Lies! The verdict is in from yesterdays blog and everyone out of over 700 responses almost all said they want the truth! Only 1 person said they would not want the truth, So if you plan on lying to someone you care about TELL THE TRUTH! Every time you want to lie think about this photo and someone cutting off your tongue… For all the people who wrote me yesterday with there heartbreak stories, Pain is what lets us know were alive take it use it and enjoy it, I would rather hurt then be numb! Man whats wrong with that one person? I can’t imagine ever wanting to be lied to, thts crazy. This shot is freaking epic, love all the details. As for who’s tongue I would cut off, not sure. There’s quite a few people in Washington DC who could use a little advice on truth telling, I’d probably start there.

Yes it’s true pain is one thing that lets us know we’re alive. So is joy, and love, real unconditional love. Not lust or infatuation or comfort, but love. There’s a big difference. With that said I will definitely remember this photo any time I hear someone lying or even think about doing so myself. And I wouldn’t cut anyone’s tongue off, too messy for my liking. I would have someone else do it for me, as for who, well there’s a couple of ex boyfriends that would make the cut for sure

I’ve been lied to, and I’ve lied. Ultimately it gets you nowhere. If you can’t be straight up with the person you’re with then you shouldn’t be with them, its pretty simple.

makes me think of “The World According to Garp.” the Jon Irving novel, one of the main characters had her tongue cut off by her rapist when she was a young girl. Also reminds me of the downside to certain factions of the Muslim faith, oh also the wife burning in India. Yeah, so many cultural implications. But for western culture, could be seen as the objectification of people in the media, only being mouth pieces for their bodies rather than their minds.
I’ve never wanted people to lie to me, but I do sometimes prefer the saying “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” Sometimes, it’s just better to keep your mouth shut, however… when it comes to honesty in relationships, tell the truth, because then you go 30 plus years with the same person, then realize, nope… don’t love em, and leave em for someone who looks a lot like em.

I still think the cake shot is my favorite of all time, but this is definitely battling for that position. There are few things that hurt more in this world than being lied to by the person you care about more than anything. I guess whatever doesn’t kill us makes us stronger. I guess.

Tyler, you are a legend. I commented before about my friend and my sister and now its all I can think about. He stayed with her for about a year after he ‘fell out of love with her’ and it made things much worse. I wish he would have left her then, rather than try* to love her and that he hadn’t stuck around because of his friendship with me. Things would not have gotten so bad if he had told the truth right away. I wasn’t aloud to talk to him, not even to tell him how mad I was that he hurt her. I hate lies more than anything, they just fuck us up more in the end.
I must say, I’m not surprised that so many people think truth is better. Who really wants to be lied to anyway? Wouldn’t you sense something is off?

Pain for sure, not only because pain lets us know that we are alive and that we must have felt something wonderful to let it make us feel so bad but I find pain to be a great motivator.

I don’t lie, I may refrain from commenting if what I would say would be unkind, but I don’t lie and I hate being lied to, especially when it’s by someone I love like family or friends. It hurts and it’s not even about the specific lie it’s about the trust factor.
